The Hessen Kit has been developed together with the Frankfurter Beratungsstelle Frauennotruf (Dr. med. Hildegard Grass and Dr. med. Ulrike Berg) and the Landeskriminalamt Hessen (Dr. Harald Schneider).
The Hessen Kit with its self-drying evidence collection tubes for the optimal, contamination free collection of biological evidence is compulsory used in the Bundesland Hessen.

This kit contains 16 evidence collection tubes with cotton swabs for use on all relevant parts of the body and a selection of examination and packaging material such as clothing bags.

All elements of the tube (except desiccant) are EO treated and guaranteed DNA free*.

* DNA free means: Any DNA, that might contaminate the swab or tube during the manufacturing process, is degraded to such small fragments that no human profile can be generated with PCR amplification methods.
